Technology
Department
The
Technology Department is seeking a Senior Sustainability Specialist.
SENIOR
SUSTAINABILITY SPECIALIST
Working
to exceed client demand we seek a qualified and committed
professional to fill the role of Senior Sustainability
Specialist. Our Sustainability practice, within our Technology
Department, responds to client demands for: GHG inventory,
reporting and reducing strategies; carbon credit programs;
ecological and carbon footprint, energy auditing, assertions/verifications,
and designing and implementing corporate sustainable and social
responsibility programs.
Main Accountabilities:
Proactive business development,
sales and client relations within the Sustainability practice
unit.
Lead teams in
planning and implementing projects related to the services
provided by the Sustainability Group, completion of carbon
footprint studies, GHG emissions inventories and reduction
strategies.
Specific
Tasks:
Lead project team in utilizing
Keystone's resources to meet client objectives.
Investigate, Measure, and Evaluate
environmental conditions.
Track project progress according
to project plan, monitor and report on the status of projects
and make recommendations regarding project scope where required.
Provide leadership and accountability
for overall success of projects under your direction
.
Ensure company health and safety
initiatives are strictly adhered to.
Provide training and professional
development recommendations as required.
Qualifications
Professional Registration in
Chemical, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering, or related
science.
10+ years directly related experience
in energy, energy effectiveness, climate change, and other
environmental sustainability disciplines.
Familiarity with BC, Alberta
and Federal environmental regulatory requirements desired,
as well as mandatory and voluntary GHG reporting mechanisms.
Technology
Department
The
Technology Department is seeking an Intermediate Project Engineer
to oversee a wide range of environmental projects.
INTERMEDIATE
PROJECT ENGINEER
Keystone
Environmental Limited started in 1986 and has grown to one
of Canada 's leading environmental consulting firms with multi-national
business interests in chemical and allied products.
To
date, Keystone Environmental has completed projects in eight
provinces, one territory, and eight U.S. states plus Colombia
and Nicaragua.
The
Position
Minimum
of 6 years
of professional experience dealing with environmental issues
in a consulting engineering or industrial setting.
North
American work experience preferable.
P.
Eng. or eligible for P.Eng. by APEGBC.
Master's
Degree preferable.
Experience
using Microsoft Project or similar Resource Planning tools
an asset.
Qualifications
Strong
technical background in environmental engineering with emphasis
on assessment and treatment of water, wastewater, soil and
groundwater, and knowledge landfill closure and air pollution
control.
Experience
in designing and supervising and complex remedial plans
for contaminated sites.
Preference
will be given to candidates with proven experience and expertise
in the design and implementation of sustainable business
practices, evaluation and assessment of renewable energy
projects, GHG management strategies, life cycle analysis,
and determination of ecological footprint for various industries.
Able
to manage a number of projects simultaneously from start
to finish. Duties may include preparation of proposals,
work plans, scheduling staff, issuing weekly status reports,
budget tracking, communications with staff, client, regulators
and stakeholders, etc.
Willingness
to travel within BC for short periods of time (maximum 5
to 10 working days, 5 to 10 times per year).
Must
be client oriented.

to oversee a wide range of environmental projects.

Position

of 4 years after registration as a Professional Engineer
dealing with environmental issues in a consulting engineering
or industrial setting.
North
American work experience preferable.
P.
Eng. or eligible for P.Eng. by APEGBC.
Master's
Degree preferable.
Experience

an asset.
Qualifications

practices, evaluation and assessment of renewable energy
projects, GHG management strategies, life cycle analysis,
and determination of ecological footprint for various industries.
Excellent
communication and client management skills. You will be
working with internal and external clients. Must be able
to attend meetings with clients over a social setting and
entertain clients with a certain social decorum.
Able
to manage a number of projects simultaneously from start
to finish. Duties may include preparation of proposals,
work plans, scheduling staff, issuing weekly status reports,
budget tracking, communications with staff, client, regulators
and stakeholders, etc.
Willing
to mentor junior and intermediate staff.
Willingness
to travel within BC for short periods of time (up to 5 working
days, 5 to 10 times per year).
Must
be client oriented.
Committed
to product quality and safe work habits.
Strong
written and verbal communications skills.
