Corporate History
Keystone Environmental Resources Inc. started in 1986 as
a division of the Koppers Company Inc., a multi-national business
with interests in chemical and allied products. In 1987, the
company performed a Risk Assessment on the Expo 86 site and
by the following year had established an office in Greater
Vancouver.
In 1993, the business was purchased by its present owners
and a new direction for the organization was established under
the name “Keystone Environmental Ltd.” At the
time, the new Keystone Environmental consisted of six employees
working on contaminated sites in British Columbia, Alberta
and Oregon.
The company grew through the balance of the 1990’s
broadening its fields of environmental expertise into a wide
range of industries and expanding its geographical service
area.
To date, Keystone
Environmental has completed projects in eight provinces, one
territory, and eight U.S. states plus Colombia and Nicaragua.
