Ball Gloves to the Dominican Republic

While on vacation last year in the Dominican Republic I saw a lot of kids playing baseball in the fields, although many of them were without gloves.

I thought back to my youth when as kids we played a lot of baseball. But without gloves? We all had gloves. I realized that these kids in the Dominican could use gloves to inspire their interest and willingness to play more ball.

I will return to the Dominican Republic in February/March of 2006 and I am collecting ball gloves to take with me and deliver to a charity / youth sporting organization there.

If you have any ball gloves (adult or youth) lying around that you'd like to donate, please contact me before the end of January and I'll arrange to have them picked up.

Your glove could end up in the hands of the next Sammy Sosa, Manny Ramirez or Alex Rodriguez, Albert Pujlos.

Thanks very much, Terry Duffy
